Attic Boys

A multiple-award winning short film set in Srinagar, Attic Boys follows eight-year-old Kuka, who quietly slips out of his modest home to meet his best friend Yaaru. Their secret meeting place is the attic of a neighborhood bakery, an old, dusty space that becomes their private refuge from the watchful eyes of adults and the unease surrounding their city. In this hidden corner, the boys share bread, talk about cricket, and enjoy fleeting moments of carefree friendship. But their innocent adventure takes an unexpected turn when the city suddenly falls under curfew, turning the once-safe attic into a trap. As the streets fall silent and fear slowly replaces excitement, the two friends realize they cannot simply walk back home. With uncertainty growing around them, the boys must decide what to do next, will they find a way out before the situation worsens, and can their friendship guide them through a moment of fear and isolation?
